Initially I was super excited about NMS, I lost interest more and more when features disappeared prior to launch. The $60 game price stopped me from moving forward with my space adventure.
I eventually got NMS for $23 on steam. I had a lot of fun with the game, but I would definitely urge you folks out there to try to get it used and as cheap as you can. I think there were a lot of shady decisions made so I prefer not to support Hello Games.
The game is a grind, the plot and NPCs are shallow… That being said, it’s visually stunning at times and I’m glad I experienced it for 30 hours or so.
Whatever you do, don’t waste your time traveling to the center of the universe.
There aint nothing special there. If you do decide to “claim your reward for journeying to the center” it just initializes your game. You keep some of your tools and ship (I think) and “creates a new planet” and that is it. Wow. Thanks Sean. See someone else ruin their game here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXzoCavC0WA.
